Match the spot you wear it, not your face.

Makeup shade finders match your face. Your sensor lives on your arm or belly, which can be a different shade. Stand in daylight, look at that spot, and answer three questions.

Ten shades. Two undertones.

A single five-shade range forces a “close enough” pick. Splitting cool from warm at every depth is what lets a patch actually blend in.

Questions

What is a CGM overpatch?

A thin, flexible adhesive patch that goes over your CGM sensor or insulin pod and the skin around it. It adds a second layer on top of the sensor’s own adhesive, so the edges are less likely to lift, peel or catch on things before the wear period is up.

Spare Skins overpatches come in 10 skin shades plus Blackout, each cut for one device, so the patch blends in instead of standing out as bright white tape.

Why use one?

Sensors can start to peel early from sweat, showers, swimming, workouts, or catching on a doorframe, a seatbelt or a sleeve. When a sensor comes off early, you lose readings and have to start a new one. An overpatch is extra insurance for the one you’re wearing.

How do I pick my shade?

Match the spot where you wear your sensor, in daylight, not your face. Take the 3-tap shade finder. Can’t decide between cool and warm? The try-on pair gives you both at your depth. Or text a photo to (888) 604-0655 and a real person will match you.

How do I put it on?
  1. Put your sensor or pod on first, following its own instructions.
  2. Make sure the skin around it is clean and dry, with no lotion or oil.
  3. Peel the backing, center the patch over the device and smooth it down from the middle out.
  4. Press around the edges for a few seconds so it grips.

To take it off, peel slowly, low and back along your skin.

Will it affect my sensor?

It sits on the outside of your sensor or pod and doesn’t touch the part under your skin. Always follow your device maker’s instructions, and don’t cover any part they say to leave uncovered. If your skin reacts, take it off.

What is Blackout?

A matte black patch for anyone who would rather not match. It doesn’t try to hide your sensor. It just looks deliberate.

Which devices does it fit?

Each patch is cut for one device: Dexcom G7, FreeStyle Libre 3 or Omnipod. Pick yours in the finder or on the waitlist.
